Chuck Klosterman's Killing Yourself to Live was a very interesting read.
The Good:
It was very very interesting, in terms of the actual content of the story. The artists that he spoke about all had some story that was interesting.
The language of the novel was very direct and to the point, which was, in my opinion, a plus.
The Bad:
Many of the times, the artists that he spoke about I had to research. Klosterman does not give too much background into the actual artist themselves. I have to assume many readers may not have found some of this information interesting simply because they were somewhat lost as to some of the background details.
Consequently, many of the excerpts in the novel were excerpts that were difficult to actually relate to.
In Conclusion:
I really loved the style this book was written in, yet Klosterman could have had given some priority to the reader.
I would recommend this book to other students to read simply because of the rhetoric that this story was written in.
8.0/10 Overall.

My Life
My life has been consisting of a variety of drama, politics, and hard work. Here is the definition of my life.
Consequently, my song-story was written about this John Mayer song.
Let's take myself at this moment right now.
I have been awake since Sunday morning, campaigning, rallying up a ton of people for support on this campaign, and I barely have time to sleep tonight.
I have no idea what I'm going to be encountering in the next two weeks or how I will be able to accomplish it.
March 31st is going to be a HUGE turnaround for me.
If I win, I win.
If I don't win, I have other major plans for myself as well.
Whatever comes my way, I am excited to face it and nervous at the exact same time.
Never in my life have I been in such uncertain situations and circumstances.
Today was the first day of campaigning, a day that many of us have all waited for.. for a while now.
We came in with an ENTOURAGE! today. Our people showed up and rocked the campus.
The vast majority of classes today were chalked with the words, Vote Maize & Blue and our website is now UP!
The entire campus was mass advertised with a very aggressive marketing campaign.
The bulletin boards are reserved!
I have to reserve the UC Stage tonight!
Our banner will be put up in the UC very shortly!
NOTHING can top our marketing.
We'll see what happens on election day.
I can't wait. I want this over, but I want this to last.
"Down to the wire.
I wanted water but
I walked through the fire
If this is what it takes
Then take me even higher
And I'll come through like I do when the world keeps testing me, testing me, testing me, testing me."
I want to avoid what happened with my family last week. I can't be thinking about that right now.
I want to avoid what happened with my family last week. I can't be thinking about that right now.
I will postpone my mourning until after this.
I can't handle another situation of that magnitude at this point in my life.
But I'm ready.
I went to Spanish class today.
I have bags under my eyes.. My girlfriend laughed at my suggestion of covering it up with some make up. I guess that's not a turn on.
Who knows what I'll be doing tomorrow.
Until then,
